No 48 Squadron Air Training Corps

No 48 Squadron Air Training Corps

Due to the fact that the New Zealand Cadet forces have an online portal for all our paperwork and applying to attend courses, having this sponsorship allows us to teach the cadets up-to-date information and assist cadets in any application they may require.

It allows the Cadet Unit Commander to keep in contact with Headquarters on a parade night without having to go home and spend 2-3 hours after parade night sending any required forms in on time.
This is now done at the Unit.

The Most FM

The Most FM

Without Primo we wouldn’t have a Breakfast Show! The sponsorship from Primo enables The Most FM to remain relevant and on-air. The Most FM is operated by the Taranaki FM Trust, a registered charitable trust, and we can only continue operating with support from the community.

The MOST FM has been a part of Taranaki culture since the early 1990s. As commercial radio has moved to a nationwide network model, Taranaki’s MOST FM has become even more local.

The MOST FM means Taranaki. We are passionate about Taranaki people, activities, businesses, produce and culture. We talk on-air with local leaders, musicians, artists, sportspeople, business people, chefs and many more every week.

The MOST means Volunteers. We have more than 50 volunteer presenters who host weekly specialist music shows over a wide range of musical styles and tastes.

The MOST FM Breakfast show is our flagship show and shows The MOST FM is connected to the Taranaki community. Every week we interview the district mayors, MP’s, sports people, musicians, artists and community groups. No Taranaki radio station interviews as many Taranaki people as we do!

New Plymouth Roller Sports Club

New Plymouth Roller Sports Club

Primo Sponsorship has been a huge asset to our club, our skating rink, the East End Reserve visitors and session skaters over the last 12 months.

WiFi assists the club to provide regular family friendly skate sessions and develop skate sports as an active member of the Taranaki Community.

We are involved with Good Sports focusing on leisure and fun activities through sport and the venue is available through school hours for activities. Having a WiFi hotspot sponsored by Primo provides visitors to the reserve an incentive to participate in outdoor and indoor activity.

We are also assisting Primo with a presence at East End which has become a very popular site to visit adjacent to the walkway, skatepark and outside cafe.

Polio NZ Inc

Polio NZ Inc

Primo makes it possible for Polio NZ to support hundreds of people who have had polio here in Taranaki and throughout the country.

People who caught the polio virus before there was a vaccine have lived their lives quietly ignored by health professionals who are no longer trained in managing the effects of polio because from the point of view of society, polio doesn’t exist in New Zealand anymore. However, there are still thousands of people who were disabled by the virus as children and are now dealing with old age in addition to their life-long disability.

The work of Polio NZ, supported by Primo, brings these people into contact with people and information that can help them manage the late effects of polio, and often the most important part of that help is simply listening to them. Polio NZ Inc. is a registered charity that receives no financial support from the government.

We are profoundly grateful to Primo for providing the internet connection that enables this work to go on unhindered by cost.

New Plymouth Sportsfishing and Underwater Club

New Plymouth Sportsfishing and Underwater Club

The New Plymouth Sportfishing & Underwater Club was formed in 1995 as a result of the merging of the New Plymouth Underwater and the Taranaki Cruising and Sportfishing Clubs. The club is based at the Habourview Clubrooms on Oceanview Parade, New Plymouth, New Zealand.

Boasting a family-friendly environment and whilst promoting fishing, boating and diving, the Club welcomes members who do not necessarily have an interest in them.

Clubrooms are now open every day from 3pm till late. The kitchen is open Thursday-Sunday from 5.30pm-8.30pm, and open for brunch and lunch Saturday and Sunday 8am to 2pm.

Thank you to Primo Broadband, we are able to have internet and phone lines without interruption. We can promote the club through social media and email out our newsletters and just the general day to day business that requires phone and internet. It is greatly appreciated.

Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust

Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust

Having a totally reliable internet connection in the midst of Taranaki’s only fenced ecosanctuary is wonderful. Working inside a sanctuary is like being in another world. Being able to collaborate and do business with the ‘outside world’, means that we can be effective and efficient, ultimately resulting in gains for ecological restoration in Taranaki.

This year especially having reliable access has meant savings for our organisation and not being left out of meetings and decision making that we cannot attend in person. Being able to stay in contact with our community and ‘Friends of the Lake’ has been helpful to the whole Rotokare whanau. Staying connected this year has been more important than ever, and being able to share the progress and ecological wins has added joy to our work.

Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust is a registered charity. Our mission is the highest level of ecological restoration at Rotokare Scenic Reserve. Primo’s generous sponsorship of our connection means that we are able to focus more of our funding on direct ecological restoration gains. Significant restoration work this year has included monitoring populations of rare and endangered bird populations – hihi, tieke, pateke, kiwi, titipounamu; progressing willow eradication in the wetlands; maintaining a pest-free sanctuary; researching additional flora and fauna species reintroductions to the sanctuary.

Primo is a godsend to our organisation!

Thank you Primo!
